Big Game Fishing
The fish strikes, the reel screams and the adrenalin rush
begins. The Wild Bill crew prepares the angler in the game
chair, harnessed with rod in hand ready to play the fish.

If you

Late
December to early June is the season for striped, blue and
black marlin, as well as tuna, shark, mahimahi and shortbill
spearfish. New Zealand holds the world record for striped
marlin in most line classes, and as we are members of the
IGFA
(International Game Fishing Association), you too could
make history on Wild Bill with a recorded catch. It is the
angler's discretion to keep or release their fish; tagging
is promoted onboard Wild Bill with 95% of last season's
catch being tagged. With fantastic fishing off the east
coast, from the Bay of Islands to the Three Kings, your
skipper and his crew can ensure a very memorable fishing
charter.

Sport Fishing, Light Tackle and Fly Fishing
All year round in the Bay of Islands, there is excellent kingfish
and broadbill fishing. New Zealand holds a number of world
class records with these species. Snapper fishing and grouper
fishing is also abundant and with light tackle, fishing for
snapper and grouper can also prove quite a challenge. They
also make for a beautiful dinner!

Catch
& Eat
There's nothing more rewarding than eating your own catch
which is where Wild Bill is unbeatable. Your fresh fish can
be prepared and barbecued onboard by the skipper, or he can
take it to our local restaurant, 'Only Seafood' (which as
the name suggests specialises in fish and seafood), with instructions
for the chef to prepare and cook it to your exact liking…..tuna
sushimi, smoked marlin, panfried snapper. You decide! Imagine
returning from a hard day's fishing, being escorted to your
table overlooking the sea, and feasting on your very own 'fish
of the day'.
We
can also smoke and vacuum pack your game fish for you to take
home.
